Joanne Bath earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance in 1957 from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She earned her Master of Music in Violin Performance in 1959 from the University of Michigan. Joanne has been a violinist with the Toledo Symphony in Ohio and the Wichita Symphony in Kansas. Since 1966, she has taught the Suzuki Approach to Learning violin to students and teachers throughout the state and around the world. Joanne’s numerous awards include The North Carolina Award in Fine Arts, The O. Max Gardner Award from East Carolina’s College of Fine Arts and the Dr. Ira and Mary Hardy Distinguished Professor Endowment.
