Art Rouse is the Associate Dean for Administration and Faculty Excellence for the College of Education at East Carolina University. He was a public school teacher and a secondary school principal prior to joining the faculty at East Carolina University. Rouse facilitated and led the effort to redesign the three graduate programs in the department to align with new state standards, as well as served as the chair for the North Carolina State Superintendent Standards.He has worked with several school districts’ administrators to refocus their efforts on effective school leadership practices that result in a dynamic teaching and learning environment. Rouse has more than 20 publications in national refereed journals and is the co-author of one of Corwin Press’ best-selling books “Writing the Winning Thesis or Dissertation” (2013, Corwin Press). In 2004, he co-authored the Outstanding Paper delivered at the Delta Pi Epsilon National Research Conference.
